Individual Time Trial Championships September 10 2016
The Wellington Cycling Club road time trial championships were held in blustery conditions at Briagolong on Saturday 10th September. A couple of visitors from neighboring clubs enhanced the fields making the result very competitive. The juniors competed over 6km with Zane Williams winning from Billy Canny with Eric Losi finishing third. Zane completed the course in 15m 38s. The seniors rode a 22km circuit which finished with the wind behind them. The fastest rider was Latrobe rider Jim Timmer-Arrends in a time of 30m 17s. However the Championship was won by Simon Whitford ahead of Kristy Glover and Aden Carubia third. Whitford completed the course in 30m 30s.
